NEW DESIGNS TO PROVIDE PERMANENT STAGING ACCESS ON HIGH RISE BUILDINGS

The popular trend in architectural designs that placed mansard tile or metal roofs along the perimeter of high rise buildings has created a host of problems.  The beauty of the design is quickly lost with the discovery several years later that there is no practical access to stage or scaffold the building for maintenance.  The problem became so pronounced some states added code requirements for practical access to be provided in designs.  BE-CI has been called to design retrofit modifications that allow affordable applications to attach beam staging on several buildings constructed before code changes were accepted.  Each building is a unique condition requiring solutions specific to the design.
